1. Karl Lagerfeld’s FW14 collection for Chanel may be his finest reinvention yet. The influence of street culture invaded house staples—the tweed suit, the pearls—in the best way.
Lagerfeld had a supermarket built for the runway as a reversal of last season’s art gallery and to drive home the point that “fashion is supermarket fodder”. It’s the ultimate mishmash of the decadent and the banal.

1. While it’s the end of Paris men’s fashion week, we’re happy it’s also the beginning of couture week. Raf Simons’s was one of our favorite collections, and innovator Dior couture gave us a high-low remix of couture with sneakers encrusted with sequins. If this is his idea of a sport-meets-fashion look, we’re definitely game.
