MOMENTS | Mash-up: Mia Hansen-Løve’s Film Eden x ’90s x The French Touch

We’ve curated the best of digital age-inspired creativity—from user-generated content, mash-ups, and remixes to collaborations between multi-disciplined makers.

Eden is award-winning French filmmaker Mia Hansen-Løve’s exploration of the origins and rise of “French Touch”—the garage style of house music that would define the ‘90s counterculture scene. The film is also a largely autobiographical piece about Løve’s older brother Sven Hansen-Løve, DJ and one of the pioneers of the French touch. As such, Eden is as a coming-of-age story for its protagonist Paul and his inner circle of friends, of which include his eventual collaborator Stan and most notably, Thomas and Guy-Man (Daft Punk before Daft Punk).
