MOMENTS | Collage: #TBT Get Existential About Love with Future Island’s Collaged Music Video “A Dream of You and Me”

We’ve curated the best of digital age-inspired creativity—from user-generated content, mash-ups, and remixes to collaborations between multi-disciplined makers.

Back in 2014, Baltimore synthpop band Future Islands released their Singles LP, an album that explored the concept of love in both a personal and abstract, universal sense. Unlike their previous albums’ use of abstract paintings, Singles’ album artwork is made up of a cut-and-paste photographic deconstruction and reconstruction of a legless, headless woman floating above the sea. It’s not a secret at BAMIN loves collages, and we were even more excited when they released their music video for “A Dream of You and Me,” featuring stop motion cut-out patterns and shapes.
