MOMENTS | Mash-up: Watch the Disclosure x Sam Smith Music Video for “Omen,” Part II of Disclosure’s Sci-Fi Short

We’ve curated the best of digital age-inspired creativity—from user-generated content, mash-ups, and remixes to collaborations between multi-disciplined makers.

Electro-pop duo Disclosure and your favorite super sensitive crooner Sam Smith reunited for their collaborative track “Omen,” and now there’s a music video to go with it. As previously noted, Disclosure had recruited Ryan Hope to direct a dystopian sci-fi short split into a four-part music video series. “Omen” will appear on Disclosure’s upcoming album Caracal, which sees its official release September 25th. It’s been a few years since “Latch” was released, and though “Omen” is slower and much funkier and Sam Smith much more svelte than ever, the Disclosure x Sam Smith team-up is still pretty magical.

MOMENTS | Mash-up: Rihanna x Kanye West x Paul McCartney Collaborate in “Four Five Seconds”

With absolutely no prior announcement, Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney dropped surprise new track “Four Five Seconds,” a melodic new single that’s a prefect blend of hip-hop and country. Paul McCartney, who also collaborated with Kanye on his track “Only One,” provides the emotive acoustic guitar accompaniment to Kanye and Rihanna’s emotive belting. The heartbreak-tinged song is deeply confessional piece and is a big departure from Rihanna and Kanye’s earlier collaborations—“All Of The Lights” and “Run This Town.”

What’s a black Beatle anyway? Unless you’ve been in a weeklong NYE hangover haze, you probably know Kanye West collaborated with Paul McCartney to create gently auto-tuned ballad “Only One”. The first single from Kanye’s new album is also first of several collaborations between West and McCartney. Ty Dolla $ign, who provided the ballad’s background vocals, told Billboard to watch out for a “crazy” song that he, Kanye West, Paul McCartney, and Rihanna have teamed up to produce.
