MOMENTS | Link up: Malcolm McLaren and Pharrell’s Hat, Calvin Klein x Chief Keef, St. Vincent Covers Nirvana, Street Artist Borondo, Artist Joanne Greenbaum

Staying relevant on the go.

1. There’s no escaping Pharrell’s hat. It even has its own parody twitter account.  If you’ve ever wondered about the hat’s origins, Malcolm McLaren wore it first.
McLaren sought “the look of music and the sound of fashion” and brought us Duck Rock, the first album that combined hip-hop, world music and scratching.

MAKER | Celebrating the Legacy of M/M Paris

A celebration of the creatives who remix their craft in thought-provoking new ways.
We love Parisian designers M/M Paris (Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag) for their romantic and illustrative approach to design that’s free and whimsical—yet controlled and calculated.
Their first job as a duo was designing the launch of Yohji Yamamoto’s Y range (Y-3) in 1993. Soon after, they fell into step with fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin with whom they’ve been collaborating with on campaigns for brands like Givenchy, Balenciaga, and Calvin Klein ever since.
