MOMENTS | Mash-up: Kelela Transforms Into a Neon Animated Character in “A Message” Music Video

We’ve curated the best of digital age-inspired creativity—from user-generated content, mash-ups, and remixes to collaborations between multi-disciplined makers.

R&B singer Kelela has announced a May 5th release for her Hallucinogen EP, a six-track EP that will tie us over while we wait for her forthcoming debut LP, which will be out this fall. As a sneak peak at what to expect from her Hallucinogen, Kelela shared her visually stunning music video for “A Message,” an Arca-produced track that “spilled out” of the two in 25 minutes during a three-day intensive collaboration. The Daniel Sannwald-directed video was made with i-D Magazine and transforms Kelela into a virtual creature.
