Spoon is putting together remixes for a new EP dedicated to the They Want My Soul single. Inside Out Remixes will include interpretations by artists that include The Strokes’ drummer Fabrizio Moretti, Dan Boeckner’s Operators, Tycho, and film composer Brian Reitzell. It should be noted, however, that Bon Iver’s cover is not on the EP. Spoon released Moretti’s remix of “Inside Out” as a teaser, and if you were already feeling sensual funk tune of the original, the remix takes those grooves and cranks it up to eleven.

It’s been a while (2013’s Comedown Machine) since The Strokes have put out a new album, but frontman Julian Casablancas recently stated that the band is putting together new music, in addition to his upcoming collaboration with Savages’ Jehnny Beth.

Listen to Fabrizio Moretti’s remix of “Inside Out” below. And if you’re really in a #TBT kind of mood, The Strokes’ Is This It (2001) and Room On Fire (2003) are always worth that revisit.
