We’ve curated the best of digital age-inspired creativity—from user-generated content, mash-ups, and remixes to collaborations between multi-disciplined makers.

Holy Ghost! debuted their remix of Jose Gonzalez’s “Let It Carry You,” another synth-y tune for their upcoming compilation of reworked tracks, Work For Hire. The 20-track remix features remixes of works by LCD Soundsystem, MGMT, and Phoenix, amongst others. Given the artists in question, we’re anticipating several musical #FBF moments (hello, college summers spent gallivanting around scummy musical festival days of yesteryear). Examples of their remixes on their track list include Phoenix’s “Lisztomania”, LCD Soundsystem’s “Drunk Girls”, and Cut Copy’s “Hearts on Fire.” Work For Hire will be out May 5th.  The pair will also be kicking off an all-vinyl DJ tour next week.

As fans of Jose Gonzalez’s work, the Brooklyn-based duo, Nick Millhiser and Alex Frankel, told FADER, “Jose’s voice is so good that it made working on this remix really enjoyable. We started it by recording new live drums in our studio in Bushwick, then added the bass line on the modular and chords on the cs80, and pretty quickly we were excited about where it was going. It took about 2 weeks to make and it was just really pleasant and fun the whole time. It’s the last remix on the album and it’s now one of our favorites.”
