MOMENTS | Mash-up: Listen to Mac DaMarco’s Jazz-y Alt-Scuzz Track “The Way You’d Love Her”
We’ve curated the best of digital age-inspired creativity—from user-generated content, mash-ups, and remixes to collaborations between multi-disciplined makers.
Mac DeMarco just released a new track, “The Way You’d Love Her,” and it’s very much in line with the pop-lite, lo-fi, stoner sound of his breakout 2014 Salad Days album. The single is one of the eight tracks DeMarco will release his new mini-album Another One on August 7th. Like the rest of the songs on Another One, “The Way You’d Love Her” was self-recorded at his studio in Far Rockaway, Queens. As we saw in his making of Another One video, DeMarco also plays all the instruments in the mini-album’s tracks.
It’s a lazy kind of Monday, so ease into the rest of your week by listening to the alt-scuzz musician’s latest nostalgia-ridden song, then check out his super homemade and pretty amusing making of video. August 7th is a long ways away, but you can pre order Another One via Captured Tracks to get the album and its all-instrumental version.
