The song that will give you the best summer vibes is finally here. Though the leaked version of the Jamie xx collaboration with Young Thug and Popcaan has been floating around, The xx producer has officially released the album version of “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times).” The fresh cut is a hip-hop-meets-soul-meets-electronic single that will appear on his upcoming and first solo album, In Colour. It samples The Persuasions’ “Good Times” and combines Jamie xx’s marimba-style synth with Young Thug’s infinitely quotable lyricism. The leaked version didn’t have Jamaican dancehall artist Popcaan’s soulful goods, so the official version is infinitely more soulful (and better).

In an interview with NME, Jamie explains how his solo album, In Colour, will impact his work with The xx. The producer noted, “The album feels like the next part of what we’re all doing rather than just be branching off. It has definitely informed what we’re doing for the next [xx] album.”

It’s almost June, and summer is upon us. Listen to the I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)” below and “Ride in that pussy like a stroller.”
