We’ve curated the best of digital age-inspired creativity—from user-generated content, mash-ups, and remixes to collaborations between multi-disciplined makers.

If Jamie xx’s Young Thug and Popccan collaborative track “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)” is anything to go by, we’re expecting a full album of gorgeously mashed-up melodies when the producer debuts his solo album In Colour next week on June 1st via Young Turks. Last night, Jamie xx made an appearance on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show to share alternate mixes of the album’s tracks. Though we’ve only had the aural pleasure of listening to the preview mini version of the upcoming album, his exclusive BBC 1 mix incorporates completely different arrangements and edits.

In Colour is also Jamie xx’s follow up to his 2011 Gil Scott-Heron remix album We’re New Here. The producer recruited his xx bandmates Oliver Sim and Romy to help on his solo album, but from what we’ve heard, the resulting sound is very much his own. You can also stream the preview of the album now, with its accompanying visuals, via iTunes.

Listen the Jamie xx’s alternate mixes below. Then check out his music video for “Loud Places (ft. Romy).”
