We’ve curated the best of digital age-inspired creativity—from user-generated content, mash-ups, and remixes to collaborations between multi-disciplined makers.

French producer Surkin‘s Gener8ion project released a new EP called The New International Sound Pt. II and shared the new music video for the M.I.A. collaborative track “The New International Sound Pt. II.” Directed by Inigo Westmeier, the director behind the Dragon Girls documentary that tells the story of three young Chinese Girls, training to become Kung Fu Fighters at the far away Shaolin Kung Fu School. The music video for “The New International Sound Pt. II,” fittingly, features breathtaking footage of the 36,000 students from Shaolin Tagou, the largest youth fighting school in China. The result is a music video that’s pretty damn rad.

If you hadn’t heard, M.I.A. recently revealed via Instagram that she would release a three-song mixtape with an accompanying short film. In the email she screenshot, she states that the audio/visual project will be “a piece of work that has no boundaries and transitions.” Per usual, we’re pretty stoked for her work. But until her next solo work drops, watch the music video for “The New International Sound Pt. II.”
